Kacey Jones - Honors - Awards -  Credits:
1986- co-wrote Billboard Top-5 hit, "I'm the One Mama  Warned You About" recorded by Mickey Gilley on Epic  Records.

1986- wrote "Cold Turkey" recorded by David Allan Coe  on Columbia Records.

1987 - Platinum Album for Ray Stevens "He Thinks He's Ray Stevens"  (MCA) for the song "Fred" published by Kacey's BMI company, Zamalama Music  Publishing, Inc.

1988 - Kacey's group, Ethel and The Shameless Hussies,  (MCA Records) nominated for Comedy Act of the Year by Music City News  Awards.  The trio also appears on Entertainment Tonight, and in People  Magazine and USA Today.

1993 - Female  Vocalist of the Year - California Country Music Association

1997 - Kacey signs with Curb Records and records the  CD, "Men Are Some of My Favorite People" co-produced by Kacey and Buddy  Killen.

1999 - Kacey produces the #1 Americana album, "Pearls in the Snow,  The Songs of Kinky Friedman" featuring Willie Nelson, Tom Waits, Lyle Lovett,  Dwight Yoakam, Asleep at the Wheel, Guy Clark, Delbert McClinton, Lee Roy  Parnell, Marty Stuart, The Geezinslaws, Tompall Glaser, Chuck E. Weiss, Billy  Swan, and Kinky Friedman and The Texas Jewboys.

2000 - "Home to You" published by Kacey's ASCAP company, Mamalama  Music, Inc. reaches # 1 on Billboard and is the title cut of John  Michael Montgomery's Atlantic album.  Mamalama Music receives an ASCAP  Award.

2000 - Kacey's CD, "Every Man I Love is  Either Married, Gay, or Dead" (the original studio album) receives  excellent reviews, including People Magazine.  Kacey's duet with  Delbert McClinton "You're the Reason Our Kids are Ugly" is the highlight of  the album.

2001 - Kacey releases the CD, "Never Wear Panties to a  Party"
to the delight of thousands of Sweet Potato Queens.

2001 - Kacey signs with the ABC Radio Network as an on-air personality and Nashville ‘correspondent’ for nationally syndicated “Charlie & Darcy” morning show (ABC’s Real Country) broadcasting to twenty million listeners.


2003 - "The Sweet Potato Queens' Big-Ass Box of Music" is  the third release on Kacey's indie label, IGO Records.

2005 - Kacey releases, "Every Man I Love is Either  Married, Gay, or Dead...LIVE" recorded LIVE at the Bluebird Cafe' in  Nashville.  Duet with Jesse Goldberg, "The Vasectomy Song" is a highlight  on this one.

2006 - "Kacey Jones Sings Mickey Newbury" is released on  IGO Records, receiving rave reviews in the U.S. as well as  internationally.  The first single, "San Francisco Mabel Joy" is accompanied by a video featuring Kacey, Kris Kristofferson, and Waylon  Payne and airs nationally on CMT and GAC.

2006 - Mickey Newbury awarded The President's Award  (posthumously) by the Americana Music Association.

2007 - Kacey writes and records songs  for the stage play,  "Nipples to the Wind" and tours nationally  with the theatrical company.  The soundtrack CD is released on IGO  Records.

2008 - Kacey and Becky Hobbs tour Australia,  performing concerts in Sydney and Melbourne.

2008 - Kacey attends Texas Country Music Hall of Fame  Awards ceremony to induct Mickey Newbury.

Career Highlights:
Kacey  has three original songs in the soundtrack of the hit cult film,"Sordid Lives"  starring Beau Bridges, Olivia Newton-John, Delta Burke, Bonnie Bedalia, and  Leslie Jordan.  The film has spawned a new TV series on the LOGO Network, "Sordid Lives, The Series" and includes most of the original cast.  Kacey  has several original songs in the TV series, one of which is on the new soundtrack CD (available at i-Tunes). Additional highlights  include singing a duet with Garrison Keillor on the stage of the Ryman  Auditorium and a 2008 concert tour with Becky Hobbs in Australia.
